The Tulip Rally is the first major gathering of the year for Club members, and a colourful start to the camping season.
This year’s Tulip Rally theme is ‘Thanks for the Memories’ and will reminisce the early years, with floats designed to recreate some of the popular and memorable floats which helped make the Parade famous worldwide.
South Lincolnshire District Association promise you a fun filled weekend, with entertainment each evening in the marquee, trade stands on site and a bus service into Spalding on Saturday, where you can enjoy the colourful floats, marching bands, street entertainers and market stalls. The churches in Spalding will be decorated and you can enjoy refreshments while you admire the floral arrangements.
On site you can browse around the trade stalls, enjoy a cup of tea on arrival and meet up with friends. Well behaved dogs are welcome and are allowed on the buses as long as they can sit within your seat space. On Sunday afternoon there is children’s entertainment in the marquee, with a fancy dress competition. The weekend finishes on Monday morning when the raffle is drawn.
There are plenty of other things to do in the area, as the Lincolnshire and the Fens ‘TulipMania’ Festival runs from 13th April to 26th May. This includes Tulip walks and cycle rides, Tulip highways and mosaics, Tulip routes and church floral decorations and sporting events.
